I want to renovate and I don't know what permit I need
The short answer
The procedure applicable to a renovation depends on the type of work and on each town hall's ordinance: some works can be processed by comunicación previa (prior notification) and others require a planning licence with a technical project. Checking this before starting avoids filing the wrong procedure and its consequences.
